Before you start

  • The languages your clients speak.
  • Your booking link, if you want to share it in one language.

Step 1: Change the app language

The app switches as soon as you pick a language.

  1. If you own or run the business, in a wide window select your avatar at the top right, then the language under Language.

  2. On a phone or a narrow window, open Account and select Language.

  3. Pick English, Português, Español, Français, Deutsch or Italiano.

Done when: the app shows your language.

Heads-up

Your choice is also your business’s language: team e-mails use it.

Step 2: Let team members switch their own screen

The app follows your business’s language for everyone on the team.

  1. A team member opens Settings › Profile › Language and picks a language.

  2. It changes only their own screen, and lasts until they next sign in.

Done when: their app shows the language they picked.

Step 3: Let clients book in their language

Your booking page opens in each visitor’s own language.

  1. Visitors switch with the language control at the top of the page; on a phone it shows a short code such as EN.

  2. Visitors whose browser uses another language see it in English.

Done when: your booking page opens in the language you expect.

Step 4: Share your page in one language

A link with ?lang= opens your page in the language you choose.

  1. Add ?lang= and the language code to your booking link, for example ?lang=es.

  2. The codes are en, pt, es, fr, de and it.

Done when: the link opens your page in that language.

Step 5: Set the language of an embed

Each embed can follow the visitor or always use one language.

  1. Open Share booking link, then Add to website, and edit your embed.

  2. Under Language, keep Use the visitor's browser language or pick one language for every visitor. Inside an embed, a ?lang= link has no effect.

Done when: the embed on your website shows the language you chose.

Heads-up

Confirmations and reminders go out in each client’s language: the language of their first online booking, or the one they pick in their SkedEz account. Clients you add yourself get messages in English.

If something looks different

  • A client got a message in English.

    Likely cause
You added them yourself, or when they booked, their browser was in a language SkedEz does not offer.
    What to do
Ask them to pick their language in their SkedEz account.
  • Your booking page opens in the wrong language.

    Likely cause
It follows each visitor’s browser, not your business.
    What to do
Share the link with ?lang= and the language code, or use the language control at the top of the page.
  • An embed ignores ?lang=.

    Likely cause
Inside an embed, its own Language setting decides.
    What to do
    Change Language in the embed.
