Before you start

  • A few weeks of bookings, so the numbers and the chart have something to show.
  • The owner or an admin account: other team members see a shorter view.

Step 1: Open the dashboard

The dashboard is the first page after you sign in.

  1. In a wide window, select Dashboard in the sidebar. On a phone, select Home in the bar at the bottom.

  2. The owner, admins and custom roles with the numbers see the full page. Other team members see My day, with today’s bookings only.

Done when: Today shows with today’s date.

Dashboard: today's date, four all-time figures, today's schedule, plan usage, a Needs attention item and the appointments analytics card

Illustrative demo data: Studio Lumière is a sample business.

Step 2: Read the key numbers

The four big numbers count from the day you started.

  1. Bookings counts bookings, canceled ones left out and pending and no-show ones in. Cancellations counts the canceled ones.

  2. Clients is everyone on your client list. Profile visits counts booking-page visits from browsers that accepted analytics cookies.

  3. The line under each number covers the last seven days: bookings and cancellations by the day the booking was made, new clients by their first booking.

Done when: you can say what each of the four numbers counts.

Step 3: Read today

Below the numbers, or first on a phone, is today.

  1. Today's schedule lists today’s bookings in time order and marks the next one Next.

  2. Needs attention shows bookings waiting for your confirmation, and plan limits that are almost used up.

  3. Select Open calendar for the rest of the day.

Done when: you know what is booked today and what needs you.

Step 4: Read the appointments chart

The chart counts appointments by the day they take place.

  1. On a phone, select Show insights first. In Appointments analytics, Week shows the last seven days, Month the last twelve months and Year every year since you started.

  2. Canceled appointments are left out; future appointments inside the period are counted.

Done when: the chart shows the period you want.

Appointments analytics card: bookings by weekday, with the Week, Month and Year switch on Week

Step 5: Read the top lists

Two lists rank your team and your services by bookings.

  1. Top team members and Top services count bookings since you started, canceled ones left out.

  2. Select View all for the whole list. Each team member’s own figures are in the Stats tab of their page.

Done when: you know who and what is booked most.

Step 6: Export the numbers

The export gives the numbers as a file.

  1. Open the … menu of the chart and select Export data.

  2. Pick a Period and a format, then download.

  3. The period only changes the counts per team member and per service; the headline numbers stay as they are.

Done when: the file downloads.

Export data dialog: period (7 days, 30 days, this month or custom) and CSV or XML

If something looks different

  • A team member sees no numbers.

    Likely cause
Their access shows My day only.
    What to do
Their own figures are in the Stats tab of their page; Custom access with the dashboard permission shows the full dashboard.
  • Profile visits looks low.

    Likely cause
Only browsers that accepted analytics cookies are counted, and a visitor at most once a day.
    What to do
Read it as a trend, not as a total.
  • The last-seven-days line and the Week chart disagree.

    Likely cause
The line counts by the day a booking was made, the chart by the day of the appointment.
    What to do
Use the chart for appointments and the line for new bookings.

FAQ

Dashboard questions

Does the dashboard show revenue?

No. It counts bookings, clients, cancellations and visits. What a client spent shows on their own page, to the owner, admins and anyone allowed to see the numbers.

Can I pick my own dates?

Not on the dashboard. The export has a custom period for the counts per team member and per service.

Why does a suggestions card appear?

It shows up to three tips, such as clients due back this week, once you have enough bookings. When there is nothing to suggest, it is hidden.
